Our place

An urban oasis fostering connections between locals and travelers.

The hip place for travelers and locals to connect and experience the capital of Mexico.

Casa Pancha is designed to be minimalist (a little Scandinavian) in design because we wanted to provide a respite for the senses too. We’ve also tried to incorporate elements of nature in our interiors. But mainly the areas are designed for people to come together and connect (as is evident in common spaces) while still enjoying their space in the pod style dorm beds. A complimentary continental breakfast is included in every reservation, our ingredients are locally sourced, and even the bread is freshly baked by a local producer. We host family dinners every week or there are weekly potlucks, where the Panchers do a little home cooking from their respective home countries. The ‘El balcón’ area is specifically designed for our guests. It’s a comfortable space where one can work, drink a cup of coffee and read a good book or simply connect with other travellers. It’s the perfect spot to play board games, watch movies or relax after a long day exploring this magical city. The ‘El patio’ area is designed to be an urban oasis where the merge between locals and travellers takes place. Each element has a story. Every object and piece of furniture is created by the minds and hands of Mexican artists. Guests can work, eat or hangout in this area.

We want to create a place for our guests to create unforgettable and timeless memories of Mexico City that are also putting as less pressure on the planet as possible. Mindfulness and cultivating a sense of consciousness are core Pancha values and we do that by creating an environment that fosters those values but also through hostel events.
