What makes this a place to StayAltered?
Birmingham Tree House is Birmingham's most magical place to stay. In a 1898 national registered historic mansion converted into a colorful and contemporary wonderland, this is Alabama's first Bed & Yoga. A creative collective with community feels, weekly yoga classes, and laid back, chill vibes.
What details make this place soulful?
Each guest room has artistic detail and a unique theme connected with yoga. There are elemental rooms- Air, Earth, and Water- these each have a Queen bed. Yin Yang, Zen Den and Bird House offer a queen bed and a single bed. There is a bunk room on the main floor- the Poet’s Corner. We offer multiple co-working and lounge spaces in the hopes that guests will feel right at home. We always try to include a personalized welcome note. We have furry onesies in each guest room for guests to play dress up and stay warm!

What makes our area special?
Birmingham Tree House is located in historic Five Points South neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama. The house is a national historic registered mansion built in 1898. Our small hotel is located a few blocks from UAB: University of Alabama Birmingham. Five Points South is known for divine food options such as James Beard Award-winning restaurant, Chez FonFon. Other notable restaurants that are in walking distance include Galley and Garden, Surin West, and Botega. There are plenty of casual and late night options too- guests love to stroll over to Marty’s PM, the iconic bar and restaurant. Welcome to Birmingham’s original entertainment district.
